Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover of Massachusetts hanged himself rather than continue to face the daily taunts. His mother says repeated calls to the school to intercede and protect her son went unanswered.

We have been celebrating the tremendous news from Iowa and Vermont, but this tragedy is a terrible reminder of how much work remains to be done.
